    • Thank you so much! You know, I just started this blog pretty much for us, so we could keep a record of what we did in the cottage. And then I discovered I liked writing (well, I knew that all along, I just never had the discipline or a reason to write steadily…) So to have you say such nice things, is really a blessing. I will go check it out.
      Thank you! :-)

    • Thank you so much. I love reading your blog as well. I’m not sure I can/will do this, though. Please don’t think me unappreciative, because I’m really so pleased that you thought well enough of this place to nominate me. But (and this is a big one) I have to be very careful of my time these days; I’m in the beginning of a new thing and I don’t want to over-commit — and that includes this blog. I will go check it out though and see… Again, thank you so much. :-)

      • You’re welcome – you have a great blog! And I know exactly what you mean. I wasn’t sure I was going to accept the award at first. So much to do; so little time in the day… :D

  2. I just found your blog today. I came here through a comment you made at victoriaelizabethbarnes. I love what I found here — you and I are kindred spirits! (I don’t have a blog, so you’ll just have to take my word for it!) I look forward to coming here and often!

  3. Apple Hill Cottage,

I noticed on your blog: “98. Holding the phone next to your heart” that you have the same wall paper that adorned my grandmother’s kitchen on the family farm. This kitchen is where I cut asparagus with grandma, ate lunch with her and Grandpa, and learned to make homemade pie crust. I became a Home Economics teacher greatly in part to my memories spent in this kitchen with Grandma. If you have any information regarding the producer of this wall paper it would be greatly appreciated, I would love to track some down to hang in my own kitchen and perhaps keep Grandma a bit closer.

    Sincerely,
    Jill

    • I would love to be able to help you, but I can’t…
When we redid the kitchen I kept a square of this paper to hang later in a frame, and I’m sorry to say that now I can’t find that sample. I’ve looked for it for over a year. Three rooms in this cottage were covered in orange wallpaper and I have samples from the other two, but not the kitchen. It is cute (in small doses!) and I hope you find some!
