Wow! Great poem with silhouette images…the two middle ones. The black and white image for some reason is a better fit for the thought of solitude. Not sure why?
I think black and white images are more evocative — focuses your eyes more? I couldn’t decide, so I put them both in. Thanks for the feedback; I’m enjoying this photo challenge.
My first thought was… ooooh, I’d love to come sit and have that cup of tea with you. Kinda defeats the whole solitude thing… But what a lovely view! :-)
I am an extrovert, and I have only recently discovered the beauty of solitude. I love working in my garden and listening to all the sounds Nature provides. I never feel lonely! I am only recharging. Maybe I’m more introverted than I thought….lol.
I was just going to ask you if you knew of the personality test that often shows extroverts who need solitude to be recharged. But then in the next comment you label your husband an INTJ. So I guess you know about it. :-)
Oh yes! I do. I need to re-take it. I have always tested as an ESFP (total opposite of my husband) but I was NOT extroverted as a child. I wonder if you change through the years? I am becoming more like him, lol! :)

One of my favorite words. Shocking, considering I’m an extrovert. But, true!

Yes–I remember yearning for it during my “little children at home days” and never getting enough. This too shall pass. :-)

I’d love to have tea with you. But the porch is definitely better in spring and summer. You notice I’m not actually sitting in that chair today! :-)

Well…not today. It’s forty degrees and just finished hailing! Thanks. I do sit in it regularly and it recharges my soul.
