104. Fifty Words for Spring

Spring at the cottage means:

Porch clutter to clean and cobwebs to sweep,
From Messy
…to clean
Winter rubble to burn,
Wildlife to watch,
Bee in a daffodil
Garden beds to ready, IMG_4112
Sweatshirts to shed
hot work
Mulch to spread, IMG_4115
Shed to paint,
shed
Peonies to transplant, Peony sprouts
Purple beauties hiding in the grass, spring violets
And inside their prisons, the pear trees blossom. Pear blossoms

  1. Wow! You’ve been hard at work – and it all looks beautiful! That porch is awesome – I would love to sit there and enjoy a cup of coffee or two :) Really nice….

          • I would gladly trade some heat for some rain – it’s pushing 100 today where I live – so it’s just a bit toasty for us. But…it usually cools down in the evening, so I really can’t complain. Just would like some more rain….

  2. You burned the ox yoke! Porch looks great! It will be hard to work and not sit on it and enjoy the sunshine – that is, if we ever get some! Bill is recovering from back surgery. When he is feeling up to it, maybe we will come down to sit on the porch with you. Keep up the good work – it is all coming together!

    • Oh we would love your company!!
My last day of work is June 6.
Very Last Day. :-/ Not saying the R word but we’re hoping to move sometime soon.
I think there will be plenty of time for porch sitting this summer…
We will pray for fast recovery for Bill.
